Smith, Elder & Co.. First edition published by Smith, Elder and Co in 1908. This is a near fine copy. The boards are in excellent condition with very little wear at all. The deep red cloth has an even tone throughout including the spine. There is a faint cup ring mark on the back board. The odd corner tip is rubbed. The book is square and the pages are tight to the binding. The pages are also very clean and white, with no foxing or previous owners marks. Overall rare as it is in near fine collectible condition.  17 short stories by Conan Doyle about, in his words, the grotesque and the terrible. Includes the story - the beetle hunter. . Near Fine. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1908.
