BOOK:- Binding is sound, no loose pages; cream boards are clean, with faint browning at the edges; silver titles are bright & without loss; mild shelfwear; spine heel crush; 1 small corner bump; small edge bump on rear board; no ink names, stamps or other permanent markings; pages show browning, more prominent at the edges; small spots of foxing on endpapers, and across the edges of the text block.JACKET:- Intact, but publisher price-clipped, with emended Macmillan price sticker adjacent; mild edgewear; 1cm closed tear on rear hinge corner of spine head; several indentations, but no rupture; 3mm strips of foxing at top and bottom edges of rear flap; jacket interior shows very isolated spots of foxing (no show-through).
