Kobenhavn [Copenhagen]: Gyldendalske Boghandels Forlag (F. Hegel & Son), 1886. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. 4 3/4 x 7 inches. 203 pages. Text in Danish. Embossed covers and spine with elaborate gilt decoration, all edges gilt. Condition is Good; spine lightly faded otherwise exterior perfect, very bright, front hinge detached from text block, rear hinge cracked but just hanging on, pages have just a hint of toning at the edges (margins). Gift message on 2nd (blank) front endpaper, text is very clean and unmarked. FL RGR

Synopsis

(SCENE - The sitting-room at Rosmersholm; a spacious room, comfortably furnished in old-fashioned style. In the foreground, against the right-hand wall, is a stove decorated with sprigs of fresh birch and wild flowers. Farther back, a door. In the back wall folding doors leading into the entrance hall. In the left- hand wall a window, in front of which is a stand filled with flowers and plants. Near the stove stand a table, a couch and an easy-chair.
