Roscoe was and aviator and showman. He became a flyer and then a stuntman in the 1920's. He hung around with the Hollywood crowd and befriended Howard Hughes. He flew in the movie "The Hells Angels", a big budget Hughes movie about World War I aviators. The book has the original owners name on the front end page. The book is in fine condition. The author has signed on the title page, (no inscription).
Synopsis
A retired Air Force colonel, Carroll V. Glines is curator of the Doolittle Military Aviation Library at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is the author of thirty-one books, including Bernt Balchen: Polar Aviator (Smithsonian Institution Press, 1999).
