Large, oversize hardcover bound in green/gray paper covers with green cloth spine; pastedown of brown bear and white bear in nice condition with slight wear at edges. An overall very worn copy with heavily worn covers, including corners abraded and worn away at tips; front and rear hinges cracked but holding. Nonauthorial gift inscription in ink and dated 1906. Frontis illustration with 3-inch tear that affects image and another 1-inch tear at upper margin. Two-inch tear on "About These Bears"/Contents pages does not affect text. All full-page color illustrations present and in very good condition, with exception of frontis as noted. Child's handiwork includes several crayoned black-and-white illustrations. ; .
