The sole UK printing of this special limited edition published by George Allen, London in 1903. This is number 163 of only 300 copies published. The BOOK is in Very Good++ or better condition. The original wraps covers and spine are present. Minor edge wear, markings and a little staining.The spine is intact and is mildly creased. The original paper printed labels to the spine are present and lightly rubbed. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The end papers are lightly spotted. A small nick to the front edge of the front blank end paper. Internally clean with just a little toning to the page edges. The legend of Tristan and Iseult, retold by Bedier and translated by Hilaire Belloc from the French. Profusely illustrated with the stunning coloured cuts of Robert Engel's watercolours.
