Heavily illustrationed throughout.

Philadelphia: H. C. Peck, 1856. Edition Not Specified. Good +/No DJ. 12mo = 7-9". n/a. Printing Not Spec. Also includes descriptions of manners, customs and places. Brown cloth covers have embossed decorations on front and back covers in corners and in center. Top and bottom of spine are bumped and worn and misg pieces. Front hinge of spine has large tear and some chips misg. Large water stain in upper right corner has faded the cloth on front cover. Previous owner's name in ink on front endpaper and inside of front cover. Brown spotting and foxing throughout. Faint brown water line appears on bottom edge up until around page 45. Some of the chapter headings include: Spain and the Bull-fights, The excitement of buffalo hunting, Mr. Lewis in Jamaica, Seal Hunting among the Greenlanders, Scoresby, the Whaler and others.
