About This Item

Virginia: Time Life Books. As New with no dust jacket. 1982. Reprint. Hardcover. 0809440040 . From the prestigiously-bound Time-Life series "Classics of The Old West". A 1982 Facsimile reprint of the First edition of 1902, it preserves the historical authenticity including typographical errors and printing irregularities. Hardback in brown leather boards (Time-Life actually state that these bindings are Leather, but they look more like 'leatherette' to me - but presumably the publishers know what they are talking about? ) with Bright Gilt titling to the front cover and spine. The front cover has a blind-stamped illustration to the lower third of the cover, which is a uniform illustration on all these 'Classics of the Old West' series and has the Title 'Classics of the Old West' picked out in gilt. 3 raised bands and gilt titling on the spine. (Unread/Unused and As New). Silk headbands and a yellow-gold ribbon bookmark. As New/No Jacket. All page fore-edges bright Gilt. This is a Lovely Facsimile reprint. No Inscriptions or Marks. Marbled endpapers. (xxxv) + 399 pp. With a Full Colour Frontispiece of 'Looking up the Bright Angel Trail' and with some full page b/w plates in the rest of the book. Complete with the original integral yellow ribbon bookmark, the loose leaf 'details of the book', and the specially provided Time Life 'Ex Libris' bookplate provided as a loose leaf for the new owner to use. I currently have about 5 other 'Classics of The Old West' books in a uniform binding in the same series - please enquire if interested. Almost all in a similar condition. An Excellent Very Clean, Tight and Bright 'As New' copy. Looks unread. ; Classics of the Old West; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
