About This Item
New York, NY Penguin Books, 1977. Paperback Reprint Edition [1977]; Third Printing Thus [1979]. Very Good+ in Wraps: shows indications of very careful use: light wear to the extremities with a couple of faint creases to the upper front panel; mild rubbing to the wrapper covers; a couple of tiny faint stains to the bottom edge of the text block; the expected light tanning to the text pages, due to aging; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of creases to the backstrip. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome reading copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing mild wear and minor cosmetic imperfections. No longer 'fresh' but not so very far from 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 12mo. (7.15 x 4.25 x 0.4 inches). 192 pages. Language: English. Weight: 3.8 ounces. Reprint Edition [1977]; Third Printing Thus [1979]. Mass Market Paperback. The ultimate 'chase' novel. Gripping, absorbing and incredibly realistic. If you ever wanted to know what it would be like to be chased and hunted down like a wounded animal then this is the book you should read. In my opinion it is considerably better than John Buchan's thriller "The 39 Steps". The nameless hero 'Rogue Male' is stripped of all identity and forced to flee from the clutches of Hitler's henchmen. He must leave the civilised world behind if he is to survive. His only ally being his finely-tuned subconscious, primitive instincts. This book is definitely one of the classics. If you want one of the most absorbing and intensely rewarding reading experiences of your life then read this near-perfect thriller!
