There is a four page index to the flies described and illustrated.This copy belonged to Robert Bright Marston, author of Walton and Some Earlier Writers on Fish and Fishing and other titles, and he was the long-time editor of The Fishing Gazette. There is a lengthy, tipped in letter on the title page written in pencil by Robert Bright Marston, titled "Fly Article Series". And his penciled notes and annotations are in the margins throughout the book, nearly always initialed by him. It appears Mr. Marston was preparing a revision of this book for later publication. Front hinge strengthened. Bookplate. A Very Good copy in the original green cloth binding with gilt titles and the gilt fairy fly on the front cover. A unique copy.. Hardcover.
