About This Item

Very Rare Advanced Reading Copy. This Book is Conservatively Graded in Acceptable Condition for Collecting Purposes. The Softcovers (ARCs are always Softcovers) have a Small, Light Crease to the Top Fore Edge Corner of the Front Cover and a Small, Drop-sized Stain on the Front Cover but No Tears or Other Major Damage. The Spine is Not Creased; the Binding is Strong, Intact, and Undamaged. The Interior is Clean and Unmarked with No Writing, Highlighting, or Underlining and with No Tears, Creases, Mold, or Any Major Damage. The Top Page Edge has some Staining (the Reason this Book is in Acceptable Collecting Condition and not in Very Good Condition, which it would be otherwise), but the Page Edges have No Remainder Mark, Foxing, or Other Major Damage.

Synopsis

Rocket Boys (also known as October Sky) is the first memoir in a series of three, by Homer Hickam, Jr. It is a story of growing up in a mining town, and a boy's pursuit of amateur rocketry in a pure company mining town. It won the W.D. Weatherford Award in 1998, the year of its release. Today, it is one of the most often picked community/library reads in the United States. It is also studied in many school systems around the world.
