Cloth, 159pp. Newell joined a Rocky Mountain trapping party in 1829 and continued trapping the Northern Rockies throughout the 1830's. A participant in the famous Battle of Pierre's Hole in 1832, Newell was closely associated with many of the most famous mountain men. An outstanding and well-edited narrative. A fine copy.
