Precolumbian, Asian, Egyptian and European Antiquities. 480pp. 282 coloured plates, 11 maps, 166 monochrome illustrations. A very nice signed set of the first edition in the publisher's dust- wrappers with each volume signed 'With best wishes' on the half-titles by both Lisa and Robert Sainsbury dated 7/1/98. This book was sold on that date in "Monomania," a charity auction at the Leathersellers' Hall on behalf of The Type Museum and contains the original paper elephant invitation ticket as well as the lot number for the auction. We have been selling antiquarian books on Africa, Oceania, archaeology, anthropology, travel and the ancient world for over forty years. All our books are carefully catalogued and they are in excellent condition unless stated in the description. All shipments are fully insured at our expense. All books are carefully packaged in new packaging material and despatched by registered or recorded mail, or by a courier service; the customer is always able to track their shipment.
