Roald Dahl (1916 - 1990) was a British best-selling novelist, short story writer, poet, screenwriter, and WW-II fighter pilot. One of the world's best storytellers, he wrote several much-loved stories including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (& Sequels), Matilda, The BFG, and The Witches.
