Robert Hale London 1954 G/Fair (rather grubby dj is faded on spine and torn at edges with small areas of loss, 1" x 3" loss bottom of front cover, clean maroon cloth with gilt titles on spine, light foxing endpapers and outside page edges, small stamp of Bombay bookseller on back endpaper and neat ink annotation reverse of last page, no other marks) octavo 189pp. Dreams of visiting the beautiful Vale of Kashmir, encircled by the towering Himalayas, are finally fulfilled, after a circuitous journey to Pakistan, back to New York and England, and a final air trip from Arctic Lapland to India. Map and b/w photographs.
