About This Item

N.p.: N.p., 1991. Rainbow Revision Draft script for the 1992 film.

Based on the 1976 semi-autobiographical novella by Norman Maclean. A Presbyterian minister, his wife, and their two sons live a quiet life in rural Montana. As they grow older, their differing interests pull the brothers apart-one moving east to attend college and become a renowned reporter, the other remaining at home, content to drink, gamble, and fight. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Cinematography, nominated for two others including Best Screenplay.

Set in Montana, shot on location in Wyoming and Montana.

Front wrapper integral with title page, with last revision dated 6/15/91, with credits for screenwriter Richard Friedenberg. 134 leaves, with last page of text numbered 109. Xerographic duplication, rectos only, with white, pink, yellow, green, and goldenrod revision pages throughout, dated variously between 5/16/91 and 6/15/91. Pages Near Fine, bound with two gold brads.
