St. Martin's Press, 1993. Hardcover. VG-/Good+. 2nd printing. Perhaps-VG copy has had corners chewed on by a - I'm guessing a kitten. DJ has minor shelf wear and the four corners of the front cover are all damaged, with small punctures. (See photos) The lower front corner of the book was also damaged, the cloth torn. The text is lovely and clean, and the endpapers are gorgeous.
Synopsis
River God is a novel by the Zambian author Wilbur Smith. It tells the story of Taita, his life in Egypt, his banishment and his return. The novel can be grouped together with Wilbur Smith's other books on ancient Egypt. It was first published in 1994.

Excellent series. Found myself racing thru chapters to find out what happens. Definitly a book to re-read. Short paragraph in back of book says story was taken from authentic egyptian scrolls. I would like to know more about the true part of it.
