US: Random House, 1970. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 2 volume set. End papers are browned. No markings from previous owners. Binding on both is tight, but spines lean. Boards are overall clean, light scuffing and rubbing, with minor wear to edges. Text blocks are soiled. Dust jackets have creases, chips, closed tears, scuffing, and rubbing along the edges. Dust jacket covers are toned, lightly soiled, moderately scuffed and rubbed. Dust jackets are in protective mylar covers. PICTURES PROVIDED UPON REQUEST.
Synopsis
John Toland was one of the most widely read military historians of the twentieth century. His many books include The Last 100 Days; Ships in the Sky; Battle: The Story of the Bulge; But Not in Shame; Adolf Hitler; and No Man’s Land . Originally from Wisconsin, he lived in Connecticut for many years with his wife.
