Harry S. Dube, Sarasota, FL, 1951; "8 1/2" x 11"; 76 pages; illustrated. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Magazine & Program for 1951, with special contributions by Cecil B. DeMille and Clark Gable. In an article entitled "The Greatest Show On Earth," DeMille tells of the many difficulties encountered in the planning and production of his recent motion picture of the same name. In "Circus Day Dreams," Clark Gable relates how as a boy growing up in Cadiz, Ohio he wanted nothing more than to join the circus and live and work under the big top, a wish which came true when shooting "Across The Wide Missouri" on remote location in Colorado when cast and crew were required to live together for months under an enormous big top. Numerous other circus related articles, plus beautiful full-page color ads for Coke, 7-UP, Old Gold, Chesterfield, and Lucky Strike Cigarettes, Buick and Chevrolet automobiles, Welch’s Grape Juice, etc. Striking cover art by Walter Bomar. Minor surface rubbing at the lowermost margin of the front cover, otherwise Fine in all respects. Clean,crisp, bright, sharp, glossy, no chips or tears.
