Publishers illustrated green cloth hardcover with gilt border, title, and color illustration of a ladyon the front cover. Atlanta book seller ticket lower right corner of the front paste down (Books of All Publishers American Baptist Publication Society 60 Whitehall St., Atlanta F. J. Paxon, Manager). Inscribed by the author on right front flyleaf - "For Miss Rubye Rich, with greetings - James Whitcomb Riley - What was The Golden Age, in truth, Is yet The Golden Age of Youth." Light soiling to front cover. Cloth is faded on the spine and board edges. Rubye Rich (Strauss) was born in Atlanta in 1882. She was the daughter of Emanuel Rich, cofounder with brother Morris of the Rich's Department store.
