N.Y.: New York Magazine of Mysteries, 1903 Book. Very Good. Decorative Cloth. Eighth Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Original highly-decorated grey cloth with red lettering, red and black florals, on boards. No DJ. Author is one of those influenced by Mary Baker Eddy and others of the New Thought movement. Basic theme seemed to be sexual purity/repression as described/promoted by these middle-class Protestant women , about 1895-1915. More religious/social history than fiction, but she calls it "a story". 317 pp. Ads at back advertise books on astrology, psychic or spiritual powers, and palmistry. Previous owner (?) stamp in front, with no other marks. Light edge foxing..
