New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, 1922. Hardcover. Illustrations by Leslie Crump. Small 8vo. Blind-embossed brown cloth with white lettering. vi, 270pp. Frontispiece, 3 full-page plates (as called for). Near fine. Faintest of edgewear, with spine lettering barely visibly rubbed but none of the chipping so often found on white lettering. Tight, handsome first edition of the eighth title in the "Football Eleven" boy's series. Blind-embossing depicts alternating footballs and cheerleader's megaphones. A beauty.
