Second Edition. 12mo; publisher's green pictorial cloth stamped in gilt, top edge gilt, housed in custom linen slipcase; [2],x,139pp.; frontispiece (tissue guard). Very discreet evidence of color touch-ups to cloth extremities, corners gently bumped, else a Very Good copy overall.
Provenance: H. Rider Haggard's copy with his ownership signature to half title page, though otherwise free of markings in his hand. A rather significant association as Haggard and Lang went on to collaborate on the science fiction novel The World's Desire, first published in 1890.
