About This Item

Tel Aviv: Steimatzky Ltd. , 1983. Tenth Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. pp: 386. White dust jacket with lettering in black. Red boards, lettering stamped in gilt on the spine. This copy has been SIGNED BY BEGIN on the title page. Begin's account of the underground paramilitary organization known as Irgun, which fought against the British during the Israeli struggle for independence. Begin was the commander of the force. The preliminary pages are a little confusing. There are new prefaces along with older prefaces from earlier editions. The original pagination was retained, so there is no order to the first twenty-six pages. The book is near fine with minimal signs of wear. The jacket has light edge wear, a one-inch closed tear at the head of the spine, and light soiling. The jacket is now protected with a Brodart cover.
