First published in Astounding Science Fiction 1939-1940, and preceded by the American 1st of 1953 by Shasta. 305 pages. Red hardcover with gold spine titles, boards very good with bumped edges, light rubbing to spine tips. Slight spine slant. Binding sound. Dust jacket lightly foxed and a little dusty, very good in Mylar. Foxed to top and fore-edge of textblock. Small dark smudge to bottom of textblock. Small dark spot through front matter. Interior else clean, pages lightly toned, clean and unmarked. Review copy, with publisher's announcement laid-in.
Synopsis
Revolt in 2100 is a 1953 collection by Robert A. Heinlein and is part of his Future History series. The contents are as follows: Foreword by Henry Kuttner, "The Innocent Eye" "If This Goes On—" "Coventry" "Misfit" Future History chart Afterword: "Concerning Stories Never Written" The short novel, "If This Goes On—", describes a rebellion against an American theocracy and thus served as the vehicle for Heinlein to criticise the authoritarian potential of Protestant Christian fundamentalism.
