Possibly signed by the author on the cover with the recipient crossed out, "with many thanks, kind regards BG...." with the end of the name illegible. A fair only readers copy with heavy wear at the edges of the covers, paper splitting at the spine tips and general darkening and soil to the covers. A heavily used copy with the binding intact and all pages bound in, but several spots that open more widely than they should and the rear cover is quite loose. 242-384 numbered pages as a continuation of the series, many b/w figures and some plates at rear. Index, bibliography.
