Philadelphia: The John C. Winston Co., 1943. Stated first edition, 1943. Very good in fair dustjacket. Illustrated with color plates and other illustrations in black and white. Blue pictorial cloth printed in silver gilt, color illustrated dustjacket. The book has modest shelfwear, mainly light rubbing to the corners and spine ends and a very small transparent spot to the front cover, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages, no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped [2.00] and has considerable chipping and some closed tears, old tape repairs to reverse side, cover design mainly intact, about 15 percent paper loss.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
