Pages crisp and clean, with no owners' marks; binding square and tight; hard cover shows some shelf rubbing at corners and spine ends but is otherwise clean and sound. Jacket has a short, closed tear at the upper left front, another at the upper right rear, and some rubbing and chipping at corners and spine ends, but is overall clean and sound, now protected in a new, clear sleeve.
