Very good original black cloth with a bright gilt title on the spine and no fading. Only a hint of edgewear. Inside, clean and tight, with a stamp on the front free endpaper of a prior owner. This is Mary Akeley's journey through Transvaal, Natal and Zululand, attached to the American Museum of Natural History nearly a century ago. From the fine collection of Arnold "Jake" Johnson. .
