John Gray, 1862. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1862. No Edition Remarks. 191 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Green cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Contains colour illustrated frontispiece, with a few other plates throughout. Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages and plates are moderately tanned and foxed, but text and images remain clear. Visible marking to some pages throughout, but text is not affected. Binding is firm. Mild cracking to front hinge, and tape to rear one. Rough-cut edges. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Plastic covering to spine and board corners to protect them. Some loss to spine ends. Gilt remains bright. Heavy rubbing and scuffing overall, with a few visible marks also.
