Original cream-coloured cloth, gilt-rolled edges, gilt device to upper board, spine ornately gilt. Decorated endpapers, 238 pp., 30 hors-texte printed and decorated tissue protected colour plates, tipped-in colour and two tone reproductions to nearly every page, decorated head and tail pieces throughout. Index. Decorations by Vladimir Levitsky, Narbut and others. Original Levitsky decorated dust-wrapper present but defective and neatly laid in. An excellent copy. Clean and tight. Some damp spotting and mild browning to cloth, ???????. ?????????????. ?????. ??????. Magnificent and very rare monograph on Nicholas Roerich. This reference work is used by all the main Russian art auction houses. Sets for Prince Igor reproduced pp140-3. Contains high quality reproductions of Roerich's paintings and texts of ten short fairytales and fables by Roerich.
