New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1927. hardcover. Good/Good. Vintage book with dust jacket. Jacket is in good to very good condition, with minor chipping along the edges, and some soiling on the back; forner clipped front flap; now in a new removable protective cover. Red cloth covered boards with black print. Illustrated end papers - mountain scene. Grosset and Dunlap hard cover with dust jacket, printing not dated but probably 1941, 285 pages. 12mo (5"" x 7.5"") Grosset and Dunlap reprint of 1927 D. Appleton and Company original. Dated to 1941 because rear flap advertises The Lone Ranger Traps the Smugglers, first published in 1941; and because the the entry of the US into World War II, Grosset and Dunlap changed its printing formats. Paper covered boards replaced cloth covered boards, and high acid, low quality paper replaced good quality pre-war paper. This book is clearly a pre-war publicatiion. #2 in the Renfrew series.
