It is an interstellar spacecraft. Space explorers and planet-bound scientists alike prepare for mankind's first encounter with alien intelligence. It will kindle their wildest dreams. and fan their darkest fears. For no one knows who the Ramans are or why they have come. And now the moment of rendezvous awaits just behind a Raman airlock door. It was delightful to be presented with a scene to stagger the imagination and yet have it described so exactly and meticulously as to know you have been there. - Isaac Asimov. 276 pages. Some light rubbing on top & bottom & edges of spine and some places on outside edges. Spine is creased. Rear cover top left corner tip has a 1/16" crease across it and the left edge has a 1" long bump down it. And the bottom left corner and the last 20 pages are bumped. Spine is firm..
