London: Smith, Elder & Co.. Hardback. Two volumes. John Addington Symonds' Renaissance in Italy series consisted of 7 volumes, the Italian literature element of which was two volumes. This is the Italian Literature set complete. Rebound set. The rebinding is in a slightly paler green cloth than the original and was obviously completed some time ago. The original spine backstrip and front cloth has been retained and are permanently part of the new binding. The original backstrips are incomplete and very rubbed to edges and have some loss to the gilt titles especially on volume I. Binding is sound and clean. Good set . Hardback. 1906.
