A facsmile of the original edition on 1846 which was a work of great rarity with only 60 copies being issued. The book is an apologia for the governorship of Captain FitzRoy, who assumed office as second Governor of New Zealand in December 1843 and an indictment of the organised settlement of New Zealand. The book is the 10th in the Hocken Library series of reprints.
