Rivington, 1826. xii, [2], 332pp. Contemporary full calf, semi-raised bands, spine in five panels, title in gilt to second panel, remaining panels with central device in blind, bands gilt, covers with central panel in blind, with blind rolled frame surrounded by a single fillet gilt border, gilt roll to edges and inner edges, a.e.g. marbled endpapers. Slightly rubbed to extremities. Internally bright and clean, with single worm track to fore-edge margin of last thirty or so pages (not affecting text). From the library of Earl Eldon, with his name and bookplate to reverse of front marbled endpaper, with a presentation inscription from the author to Eldon on ffep. Presentation Copy from the Author. First Edition. Full Calf. Good+. 8vo.
