About This Item

Scottsdale, AZ: Poisoned Pen Press, 2004. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Benoit's first book is this humorous mystery-adventure novel, nominated for an Edgar Award. It features Doug Pearce, your average guy from small town Pottsville, PA. Pearce, who's never been more than 50 miles from good ole Pottsville, is given the chance to solve his uncle's 50-year-old murder and maybe recover the legendary diamond his uncle was smuggling. To accomplish this, he must become a world traveler, racking up air miles to Morocco, Egypt, Bahrain and Singapore while learning he's no kind of detective though it's pretty clear he makes a good target for a killer. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square, not remaindered. The dustjacket shows no more than a bit of edgewear, no tears, no creasing or chipping, not price-clipped. Collectable.
