Violet pebbled cloth, decorations in black, gilt lettering, brown endpapers, guarded frontispiece and additional illustrations (some full page), folding map at rear. ; 5-3/4" x 8-1/4"; 529 pp; Spine rubbed and discolored, spot of staining to spine, a number of discolored spots on rear board, worn at spine ends, fraying at corners, sound hinges (must have been repaired?), prior owner bookplate inside front cover, text block generally clean and free of foxing, map with splits and loss of about 2 square inches along top. .
