Germany: Darmstadt, 1940. (21) pages; a story in German text, printed on quality paper stock; by Erich Pfeiffer-Belli (sometimes pseud. 'Andreas Heldt') (1901 - 1989) German journalist and writer, especially on artistic matters, educated at the Bauhaus and in the bookbinding workshop of Paul Klee. Pfeiffer-Belli wrote on Klee and several other artists as well as the poet Rilke; this text noted on the final page as written in 1929 and subsequeently printed in 1940; approx. 5 1/2" x 7 1/4" size; previous owner inscription (possibly by Pfeiffer-Belli, to his daughter); bound in handmade paper covered boards; brick- red leather spine; some wear & rubbing, darkening, to boards; spine darkened a bit, spine ends with a little wear; in very good condition. . First Edition. Leather. Very Good.
