Red cloth binding with gilt decoration on front and gilt titled on spine. Blind-stamped portraits of Luther and Erasmus on front. Very clean and unmarked, slight rubbing of corners and edges. Backside has faded area, otherwise no marks, no stains. Endpapers with maps of Europe in 1519 and Medieval England and Wales. c 1399, The Swiss Confederation and the Ottoman Empire. 48 b/w illustrations. Internals are quite clean, completely unmarked, no creases. Sewn binding is tight and solid, square with sharp corners.
