London: Methuen and Co. Ltd., 1956. 1st Edition First Thus. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Michael Ayrton. 1956 first edition. Size 12mo, 7.25" tall, 298 pages. Crimson hard cover with gilt titles on a black panel on the spine, with the dust jacket. Book condition near fine, a few small spots to the edge of the page block otherwise fine, contents are very clean throughout. Dust jacket condition very good plus, corners and spine ends are rubbed, a little spotting to jacket, not price clipped, price 15s net. Dust jacket design by Michael Ayrton. The last book published before his death.
