About This Item
London : Harper Collins, 1992. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printings. Three volume set in the Mars trilogy. Hardback books are all tight clean and square. Boards sharp and clean, title gilt perfect. Text blocks clean. Red Mars has white edges, Blue Mars, as is common has light toning to edges, also binding slightly stressed at half title page. Green Mars has light toning, a couple of light bumps to the board edges, and a gift inscription to the front pastedown that is mostly hidden by the front flap. All volumes feel lightly read, with a little bowing at head of spine due to weight and size of text block. Books grade near fine. Jackets have bold colours to the panels and straight and clean with a little crimping to the edges and head of the spines. Red Mars has two score marks to the front panel and one to the spine, which in the fitted archival cover are virtually invisible. Green Mars jacket is price clipped. Blue Mars has a touch of sunning to the spine. Jackets grade very good. These books are fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. Please note : this set of books are very heavy (3500g) overseas purchasers may be charged additional shipping. Please contact bookseller for exact price. For UK customers this set of books will be delivered by courier. A very good and very solid set of this collectible trilogy, which in the fitted archival covers look great on the shelf. A super addition to a collector's SF shelves.
