The author examines the large and small prairie cities and tells of the three-way skirmishes between the girls and madams and the authorities and moral reformers from the early days of settlement to the 1920s when organized prostitution began to wane. clean tight copy slight soiling to top and outer edge d/j shows small nicks and tears with rubbing and else slight edgewear former owner name on frontpiece.
