The 318 pages remain in fresh, clean condition with no inscriptions or foxing and are tightly bound. Book sits soild and square. All corners are sharp with no bumping. Gilt title lettering remains sharp and definite. A fresh copy, inside and out. Housed in the distinctive dustwrapper with publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Light signs of handling with one small closed tear to the back panel otherwise the dustwrapper is near fine. Protected in a removeable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. Photographs of the book and the dustwrapper are available on request. An attractive collectors copy.. First Edition. Fine/Near Fine.

Synopsis

Iris Murdoch was born in Dublin in 1919 of Anglo-Irish parents, grew up in London and was educated at Oxford and Cambridge. She is the author of 26 novels and several works of philosophy. She died in 1999.
