The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some bumping, rubbing and small edge nicks and spots of fraying. There is a tear to the top front corner of the book cover, along with a spot of fading and water spotting. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a previous owner's inked name on the first free page. "The Union Navy was the United States Navy (USN) during the American Civil War, when it fought the Confederate States Navy (CSN). The term is sometimes used carelessly to include vessels of war used on the rivers of the interior while they were under the control of the United States Army, also called the Union Army.
