London: T Nelson and Sons, 1853. Very informative book on historical expeditions to the south seas and Pacific under the English, French and American governments. 508 pages plus16 pages of adverts in overall clean condition just some very light foxing to last couple of pages and light browning to outer edges of pages, contains frontispiece illustration opposite the title page which has small illustration under the title, these pages are a little more browned and foxed due to a thicker, different quality paper, from the other pages being used. Very informative text, NO dustwrapper, outer gold decorated boards are very attractivecouple of very light marks and gold slightly worn on spine, light wear to corners. A nice example of this book SEE IMAGE. DETAILED IMAGES AVAILABLE ON REQUEST. First Edition. Gold Decorated Boards. Good Plus/No Jacket. 7 ½ x 5 Inches. Hardcover.
