This facsimile reprint of the scarce 1899 edition is still in the original plastic casing. A pristine copy from the Morningside Book Shop Press. Senator Opie saw a lot of action in the Civil War( especially around Virginia) and served with the best of the best in the Confederate Army. He was also imprisoned in Elmira Prison Camp in New York, near the end of the war. An entertaining account of the war, and often amusing. 336 pages, many b&w illiustrations. Book is pristine.
