Minor edge and corner wear, scuffed and scratched, corners are lightly bumped and rubbed, some shelf wear, some of the lettering is chipped and fading from the front board and spine, liquid stain (does not affect the interior pages) on the front and rear boards and on the spine as well, overall a clean rare and collectible first edition! Extremely scarce and out-of-print title! Binding is tight. Red cloth with white lettering on the front board and spine. 334 very clean unmarked and uncreased historical pages! Very very rare and hard-to-find title! "'William Fox? He's the most brilliant man they've got, but a two-edged sword; they're all afraid of him!' The speaker had just left the swinging doors at the foot of the staircase from the Torunda, under the old Library rooms in the west front of the Capitol, and his companion, who was also a member, was working himself slowly into his greatcoat...." ---- from Book I..
