Hinges broken, front end paper missing, old masking tape connecting front paste down and frontispiece verso, mostly mild/ some moderate foxing to interior, light wear to board edges and spine ends, spine mildly cocked. This is an apparent reissue with a twist of original title by the publisher of the 1869 Women of New York or the Under-world of a Great City by Ellington - a pseudonym according to OCLC, possibly for James Dabney McCabe in the opinion of one scholar (citation on request). Very Good. 1931 University of Wyoming doctoral thesis submitted by Joseph Conrad Twinem pertaining to the genesis of the geological development of the lithosphere of southeastern Wyoming. Includes discussions of dozens of formations and numerous skillfully executed watercolors of cross-sections of formations, etc. Of special interest are four large watercolors, two of them 3-panel fold outs, of Wyoming landscapes, and one of the Rock Creek oil fields. Also includes 36 2 3/4" x 4 1/2" original, unique photos inserted in corner mounts - views of Wyoming camp facilities, canyons, mountains, striking geological features, Independence Rock, gold mining operations, the Pathfinder Dam, Parco, Wyoming (street view), oil distillers, a Snow Range sericite mine and much more. Both book and dust jacket are in nearly perfect condition. The book inside the front cover is slightly discolored. Please see photos. This is also the case inside the rear cover. I think it is something to do with the glue that was used.

London: Impensis Hen. Clements, 1710 Book. Good. Full-Leather. [viii], 362, [2] pages. ESTC T131824 where it states that the work is mainly attributed to - Crotus Rubianus and Ulrich von Hutten, possibly in collaboration with Hermann von dem Busche. Title pages included in the pagination for vol 2 and also for Epistola Magistri Benedicti Passavantii. In old full leather binding - the boards would once have had arms in gilt - but these have been erased. The lettering piece to the spine has gone. Occasional light browning and spotting ot pages. Tear to the fore edge of pages [iii]/[iv] with an old paper repair - this affects a few words. Ink name and inscription to the title page for vol 2. Pencil owner's name to a front free end paper - RA Linscott Paris 1927. Ink note in French also..

c.a. 1890. Green cloth covers have some edge wear and scuffing. Corners bumped. Light tanning to pages from age; otherwise clean. Binding cracked but still sound.

London: Thomas McLean, 1824. Original hand-colored aquatint, drawn and engraved by Henry Alken ((1785-1851). Printed by Howlett and Brimmer. Image is 5 3/4 inches by 8 1/4 inches on a sheet measuring 9 1/2" X 13 5/8". Alken was one of the most prolific sporting artists in 1rth century England. But for some smudging limited to the blank margins, the print is in near fine condtion: clean and bright.. Original. Single Sheet. Near Fine. Illus. by Henry Alken. 5 3'4" X 8 1/4". Fine Art Print.

First Edition 1908. Reprinted 1912. Previous owner put a book cover over book. The back part of the book cover came off showing the boards. I was unable to remove the front part of the book cover without fear of harming the book. Boards are maroon. Spine has come away from the book. Back board is coming away from the book. book lays flat when opened. Pages are clean, not torn and the corners are not bent. Nonsmoking. Proceeds from the sale of this book assist our local library.
