London, The Mining Magazine, 1912. Large hardback, approx 14 x 9 inches. Full vellum binding with raised banding and black lettering and detail to spine. In very good condition. Partial crack to vellum at bottom end of spine. Some darkening and foxing to endpapers, bookplate to front “The Hon. Richard Martin Preston D.S.O.” A couple of minor foxing spots to edges of title page. Small minor water stain to top corner of Intro & Preface pages. Some occasional handling marks and foxing spots to pages. Pages in main text still remain uncut at top edges. Else a very good clean and tight copy. xxxi + 640pp. With original B&W woodcut illustrations. Decorative head & letterpieces.
